ACCA (The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) was set up in London in 1904 to promote excellence in accountancy and finance.

ACCA is recognised and respected across the world, and currently has 424 000 students and 147 000 members in 170 countries.

ACCA is also very popular in Ukraine: there are already 550 members, 100 affiliates and more than 4200 students. The majority of ACCA members and students in Ukraine live and work in and around capital cities.

ACCA QUALIFICATION

The ACCA Qualification develops accounting knowledge and skills as well as professional values. This means you can build a successful career as a finance professional in any sector.

There is a strong focus on professional values, ethics and governance. This is essential because thу profession is moving towards strengthened codes of conduct, regulation and legislation. And there is an increased focus on professionalism and ethics in accounting.

Professionalism and ethics is examined at the highest level in the ACCA Qualification. It is also a main part of the practical experience you must complete to qualify.

To become an ACCA member, you will need to complete:

  • 14 exams
  • the practical experience requirement
  • the Professional Ethics module.

ACCA exams are held twice per year (June and December) and can be sat all around the world. Some of the exams (F1, F2 and F3) can be also organised as computer-based exams (CBE). CBE can be sat only at special authorized centres as BEA in Ukraine during the whole year.

You can choose how you study, how often you sit your exams and where you get your relevant practical experience.

Having passed those examinations and having gathered enough of practical experience and gained Professional Ethics module, a candidate may (but does not have to) apply for a membership in the Association.
